Jeanne A. Barrrick

Jeanne A. Barrick, 74, of Salamanca, NY died early Sunday morning, September 29, 2024 at home following a short illness.

Born September 25, 1950 in Buffalo, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Eileen Persse McMahon. She was married March 15, 1986 in Springville to Frank L. Barrick, who predeceased her in 2019.

She was a graduate of Mt. Mercy High School, Buffalo, NY, Class of 1968.

Jeanne had been employed with Worth W. Smith in Salamanca for over 12 years, retiring in 2016. Previously, she had been employed with the former Bell Atlantic Telephone Company in Buffalo for over 18 years.

She was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post 5296. She was an avid Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres fan and enjoyed word puzzles and watching the Game Show Network and cop dramas. She also enjoyed sitting on her patio visiting friends with her granddog, Matilda.

Surviving are: two sons, John (Jennifer) Barrick, Keokuk, IA, Michael Barrick, Salamanca, NY; three granddaughters, Jaina Barrick, Frankie Barrick, Callie Barrick, all of Keokuk, IA; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Sheila and Eileen, and two brothers, Billy and Mike.

Memorial visitation will be held at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Friday, October 11, 2024 from 11am - 12pm at which time a memorial service will be held with Deacon Michael Anderson officiating.
