Joan Davis

Joan F. Davis, age 79, of the Randolph Manor, formerly of Cheektowaga, New York died Friday evening, January 18, 2013 following a short illness.

Born October 9, 1933 in Brighton, New York she was the daughter of the late Frank and Cuba Eckert. She was married on June 16, 1958 in Buffalo, New York to Norman "William" Davis who predeceased her in 1986.

She was employed in Housekeeping at the Airport Holiday Inn in Cheektowaga, New York retiring in 2006.

She was a gentle person who enjoyed bowling, crocheting, knitting and doing puzzles. She loved to listen to music. She attended Methodist Churches in the areas where she resided.

Surviving are: a sister-in-law, Lillian McLaren, of Salamanca, New York; a cousin, Tim Metzler, Hamburg, New York; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Saturday from 2 – 3 P.m. at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Marvin Abrams, pastor of the Jimersontown Presbyterian Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
