Joan Lewicki

Joan M. Marowski Lewicki, 93, of Franklin, PA, formerly of Kill Buck, NY died early Thursday morning, June 10, 2021 at her family home in Franklin, PA.

Born July 10, 1927 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Walter and Anastasia Romanowski Marowski. She was married on February 3, 1951 in the Transfiguration RC Church, Olean, NY to Richard J. Lewicki, who predeceased her on July 6, 2003.

She was a graduate of Olean High School, Class of 1945.

Joan had been employed with the AVX Corporation for 32 years. Previously, she had worked for Stroehmann’s Bakery.

She was a member of the former St. Patrick’s RC Church, Our Lady of Peace Parish. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, and making trips to the casino.

Surviving are: a daughter, Mary Ann Seagren, Franklin, PA; three grandchildren, Mark (Donna) Seagren, FL, Dan (Jennifer) Seagren, WI, Mandy (Todd) Williams, FL; a great-granddaughter, Emmerson, WI; three great-grandsons, Kaleb, Kaden, Breydan, all of Florida.

She was predeceased by three brothers, Walter Marowski, Robert Marowski, and Thomas Marowski.

There will be no visitation.

A Memorial Mass will be held at Our Lady of Peace Parish, Salamanca, NY on Friday, June 25, 2021 at 10am with Rev. Mariusz Sierhart as celebrant.

Burial will be in St. Bonaventure Cemetery, Allegany, NY.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to AseraCare Hospice, 1600 Peninsula Dr, Suite 14, Erie, PA 16505.
