Joelle Murdock

Joelle A. Murdock, 57, of Little Valley, NY died Thursday, February 8, 2018 at her home.

Born on August 12, 1960 in Salamanca, NY she was the daughter of the late James and Pierrette Plumcoq Rauh. She was married to Mr. Paul Murdock who survives.

Mrs. Murdock was employed at Allegany State Park and had previously worked at the Salamanca Chamber of Commerce.

She was a very talented, creative, and caring individual. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Surviving besides her husband are: a son, Andrew (Natalie) Appleby, Hamburg, NY; two stepsons, Sean Murdock, Kevin Murdock, both of Norman, OK; five sisters, Janine (Jim) Maier, New Ellington, SC, Nancy Nye, Cattaraugus, NY, Michelle (Paige) Martin, Little Valley, NY, Kathryn Rauh Wenke, Great Valley, NY, Christine (Robert) Yoffie, Rock Hill, SC; two brothers, Jim (Cindy) Rauh, Olean, NY, John (Janice) Rauh, Goochland, VA ; several nieces and nephews; a dear friend, Elizabeth Smith.

She was predeceased by a son, Patrick Appleby, a brother, Steven Rauh and a sister, Danielle Rauh Leaskey.

A memorial service will be held at St. Mary’s Episcopal Church on Thursday, February 15, 2018 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Lonto officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
