John Cooper
Mr. John M. Cooper, age 63, of Steamburg, New York died Wednesday, July 15, 2015 at Mercy Hospital, Buffalo, New York following a short illness.
Born on April 17, 1952 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Arnold and Alvina Cook Cooper. He was married on April 17, 2006 to the former Marilyn Cooper who predeceased him on February 3, 2015.
Mr. Cooper was employed with the Security Department of the Seneca Nation Gaming Corporation in Cuba, New York.
He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Heron Clan. He enjoyed NASCAR and Wrestling and was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed fishing.
Surviving are: 2 sisters, Retta Jones, Salamanca, New York, Eldena Halftown, Jimersontown, New York; 3 step sons, Charles (Joanne) Spruce, Salamanca, New York, Wesley Spruce, Salamanca, New York, Keith Spruce, Steamburg, New York; several nieces and nephews
Friends may call at the Coldspring Longhouse beginning Thursday afternoon and all day Friday.
Longhouse services will be held on Saturday at 10 a.m.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, New York.
