John Eisenhardt
Mr. John Eisenhardt, age 60, of 3202 State Park Avenue, Salamanca, New York died Friday afternoon, April 4, 2008 at his home.
Born in Cortland, New York on May 14, 1947 he was the son of the late Alfred and Doris Iverson Eisenhardt. He was married in August 1998 in Pigeon Forge, Tennessee to the former Lynn Nelson who survives.
Mr. Eisenhardt was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving on the U.S.S. America during the Vietman Conflict.
He was employed with Ironhart Flag Car associated with highway escort for over 20 years. Also, he had been employed as a carpenter in the Ellicottville/Salamanca area, and as a farmer in Great Valley, New York.
Mr. Eisenhardt enjoyed the outdoors, boating and fishing.
Surviving besides his wife are: a daughter, Jill Eisenhardt, Cattaraugus, New York; 2 sons, Webb (Vicki) Eisenhardt, Machias, New York, Benjamin Eisenhardt, Pittsburgh, Pa; 7 grandchildren, 2 sisters, Jean (Donald) Hanson, Marathon, New York, Faye (Herschel) Johnson, Brooktondale, New York; 2 brothers, Pete (Susan) Eisenhardt, Harrison, Tennesse, Alfred (Myra) Eisenhardt, Maysville, N.C; several nieces and nephews.
There will be no formal viewing, the family will receive friends at their home, 3202 State Park Avenue on Wednesday, April 9th, 2008 from 12:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
