Joseph Hoffman

Mr. Joseph L. Hoffman, age 66, of Washington Street, Salamanca, New York died early Thursday morning, September 11, 208 at Olean General Hospital following a short illness.

Born on October 30, 1941 in Buffalo, New York he was the son of the late Aloysius and Elizabeth Bookmiller Hoffman. He was married on November 26, 1966 i Delavan, New York to the former Lois Stafford who survives.

Mr. Hoffman was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

He was an automobile forwarder with E & L Transport Company of Lorain, Ohio for over 25 years.

Mr. Hoffman was a member of the Teamsters Union Local #964 in Cleveland,Ohio. He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, camping and traveling.

Surviving besides his wife are: a daughter, Sarah (Blaine) Tallchief, Salamanca, New York; 2 sons, Andrew Hoffman, Daniel Hoffman, both of Salamanca, New York; 2 grandsons, Joe Thunder Hoffman, Delsin Kane Tallchief, both of Salamanca, New York; a brother, Robert Hoffman, Arcade, New York; several nieces and nephews.

Private calling hours were held in the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Friday evening.

Private funeral services were held on Saturday afternoon at the family home with Brandon Crouse officiating.
