Joyce Lamberson

Joyce Lamberson, age 73, of Erie Street, Salamanca, New York, died Thursday morning, May 5, 2011, at Millard Fillmore Hospital, Buffalo, New York following a brief illness.

Born on January 9, 1938, in Belmont, New York she was the daughter of the late William and Hazel Swift Glase. She was married on October 4, 1986, in South Carolina, to Mr. Leonard Lamberson, who predeceased her on July 19, 2006.

Mrs. Lamberson enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing. She also enjoyed knitting and she bred spaniels for many years. She was a member of the NRA and the Square Circle Club in Killbuck, New York.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Douglas (Karen) Bean, Sinclairville, New York, Michael (Sue) Bean, Little Valley, New York; step-children, Tim Lamberson, Masontown, West Virginia, Brett Lamberson, Salamanca, New York, Keith Lamberson, Salamanca, New York, Hal Pettys, Jamestown, New York, Gail Luce, Fairmount, West Virginia, Carla Mesler, Jamestown, New York, Lisa Pettys, Jamestown, New York; 13 grandchildren, numerous great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by one brother, William Glase Jr., and one daughter, Emily Bean.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Tuesday, May 10, 2011, from 4-7 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held .

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
