Judith (Judy) Greene

Miss (Judy) Judith Greene, age 67, of 44 Seneca Street, Salamanca, New York died at her home on Sunday affternoon, October 21, 2007 following a long illness.

Born on January 2, 1940 in Buffalo, New York she was the daughter of the late Adam A. & Delma J. Jimerson Greene.

Miss Greene was a graduate of Ridgeway Area High School. She went to LPN School in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla. She received her Bachelor's Degree from Alfred University, Alfred, New York. She received her Master's Degree from the University of Mass. at Darmith.

She was formerly employed as the Director of Seneca Nation of Indians Museum prior to her retirement. Previously she was employed at Warren State Hospital, Miami Heart Instiute. From 1998-2000 she was employed at the Seneca Nation Health Clinic. Also, she was employed at Green Gables, Great Valley, O'Juna, Nantucket Island, Mass.

She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, the Deer Clan, the Rainbow Girls in Ridgeway, Pa.

Survivng are: a brother, Charles Greene, Steamburg, New York; a nephew David Greene, Salamanca, New York; 2 nieces, Carlee Greene, Jamestown, New York and Tande Greene, Killbuck, New York.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Tuesday and Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 P.M.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday at 10:00 A.M. in the Red House Memorial Chapel with Ralph Bowen officiating.

Fuenral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Joesph's Indian School, P.O. Box 200, Chamberlain, South Dakota 57326 or the Seneca Nation of Indians Diabetes Fund.
