Judith M. Bridges

Judith M. Bridges, 80, of Salamanca, NY, formerly of Sawmill Run, died Tuesday, June 11, 2024 at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born October 13, 1943 in Olean, NY, she was the daughter of the late Richard Langworthy and Mildred Davis. She was married on October 21, 1961 to William Bridges, who predeceased her in 2021.

She attended West Valley High School and earned her GED in Salamanca.

Judith had been employed in the kitchen staff with Randolph Children’s Home for over ten years, retiring in 1994.

She enjoyed shopping trips with her sisters, baking, knitting, and doing Sudoku puzzles. She also enjoyed watching cooking shows and trying to duplicate the same results.

Surviving are: a daughter, Terri (Randy) Foster, Salamanca, NY; three sons, Randy Bridges, Salamanca, NY, Jeffery Bridges, Little Valley, NY, Timothy (Lorie) Bridges, Randleman, NC; a granddaughter, Misty (Matthew) Kovas, LaSalle, UT; four grandsons, Anthony (Haley) Foster, Forestville, NY, Jeremy Foster, Allegany, NY, Tyler Foster, Salamanca, Matthew (Krysta) Bridges, Murfreesboro, TN; seven great-grandchildren; five sisters, Nancy Nash, Las Vegas, NV, Dolly Cobo, Little Valley, NY, Corky Dolph, Little Valley, NY, Babe Whitmer, East Otto, NY, Cheryl Moore, Brockway, NY; a brother, Dale (Karen) Langworthy, Kill Buck, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Talbot, and a brother, Richard Langworthy.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Free Methodist Church, 387 Center Street, Salamanca, NY Saturday, June 22, 2024 from 1 – 4pm.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
