Judy A. Hill

Judy A. Hill, 75, of Salamanca, NY died Tuesday morning, December 17, 2024 at Buffalo General Hospital following a short illness.

Born September 11, 1949 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late John and Jean Mighells Wass. She was married in Salamanca in 1973 to John “Jack” Hill, who survives.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1967 and earned her Bachelor’s Degree from Empire State College.

Judy had been employed as a case worker with Cattaraugus County Social Services for over 20 years, retiring in 2011.

She attended the Faith Bible Chapel in Randolph, NY. She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren and nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed traveling with her husband, spending time in Myrtle Beach and Hawaii. She was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Surviving besides her husband are: two granddaughters, Kayla Corbie, Salamanca, NY, Carly (Jerome) Bucktooth, Salamanca, NY; a grandson, Keedin Bucktooth, Salamanca, NY; a sister, Margaret “Stretch” (Robert) Winney, Marshallville, OH; a brother, John (Dawn) Wass, Saugus, MA; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Christina Hill, a son, Gregory Hill, a sister, Wendy Boon, and a brother, Raymond Wass.

A memorial service will be held at the Faith Bible Chapel, 117 Jamestown Street, Randolph, NY on Saturday, December 28, 2024 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Edwin Ramirez officiating.

Funeral services are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY and will be announced at the convenience of the family.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.
