Justin M. "Jeep" Crouse
Justin M. “Jeep” Crouse, 35, formerly of Salamanca and Jimersontown, NY died Thursday evening, August 9, 2018 in Auburn, NY.
Born January 6, 1983 in Jamestown, NY, he was the son of Martin (Jen Willet) “Jeep” Crouse Jr. and Gilbetine Halftown, both of Salamanca, NY.
He attended Salamanca High School and played Lacrosse.
He had been employed with Kingsview Paving, as a brick layer with the Brick Layer and Allied Craft Workers Local #3, and with the Seneca Nation of Indians.
He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Wolf Clan and was a member of the Coldspring Longhouse.
He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting and fishing, playing field lacrosse, basketball, and watching the Red Sox. He also enjoyed spending time with friends and family.
Surviving besides his parents are: three sisters, Amber Crouse, Buffalo, NY, Elizabeth (Elijah Brisley) Barnes, Salamanca, NY, Bridgette (Cody) Crouse, Youngsville, PA; two brothers, Benjamin Armstrong, Buffalo, NY, Cody (Montana Hill) Barnes, Tonawanda Reservation; paternal grandparents, Martin Crouse Sr. and Joyce Huff, both of Salamanca, NY; maternal grandmother, Sandra Dowdy, Steamburg, NY; a special aunt, Kristin John, Jimersontown, NY; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his brother, Andrew John, and his maternal grandfather, Dar Dowdy.
Friends may call at the family home, 8154 East Loop Road, Jimersontown beginning Tuesday evening and all day Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held Thursday morning at 10am in the family home with the Speaker from the Cold Spring Long House officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Heights, Jimersontown.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
