Karen L. Fisher

Mrs. Karen L. Fisher, 51, of Salamanca, NY died Friday afternoon, April 7, 2017 at the Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born July 20, 1965 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of Judith Dolecki Wymer of Salamanca, NY and the late Eugene Wymer. She was married in June 2002 at the Little Valley Congregational Church to Mr. Jeffrey Fisher, who survives.

Karen was a graduate of Salamanca High School Class of 1983.

She had been employed as a bank teller at Community Bank NA in Salamanca for over five years. She had previously worked in banking in Yorkshire and Ellicottville, NY.

She was a member of the Little Valley Congregational Church.

Surviving besides her mother and husband are: a brother, Dave (Mary) Wymer, Portville, NY, and several cousins, nieces, and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Salamanca Public Library Memorial Fund.
