Kathleen J. Musall

Kathleen Jean Musall, age 51, of Humphrey Road, Great Valley, New York died Friday, August 12, 2011 at Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, New York as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born on February 12, 1960, in Salamanca, New York the daughter of the late Donald Erwin and Val Jean Wolford Hall. She was married on August 22, 1981, in Ellicottville, New York, to Mr. Gerald Charles Musall who survives.

She was a graduate of Ellicottville Central School, class of 1978, and attended Jamestown Community College.

She was employed at Dr. Arun Patel's office in Salamanca, NY, and had previously been employed with the Town of Great Valley as a Court Clerk and had been employed at the former Signore Inc., Ellicottville, NY.

Kathleen was a direct descendant of several of the Pilgrims who came to this country on the Mayflower. She was a life long resident of Great Valley. She was an active member of the Great Valley Baptist Church where she was the pianist. She was a loving mother to her 8 children.

In addition to her own family, Kathy was like a mother to many. There is an endless list of people whose hearts she has touched and lives she has impacted. She will be greatly missed.

Kathy was an avid traveler. She loved to spend time in Vietnam and Cambodia, the birth place of her six adopted children. She had visited Southeast Asia with 5 of her children and daughter-in-law as recently as July 2011.

Surviving besides her husband are: 3 sons, Aaron C. (Jessica) Musall, Hamburg, NY, Lee C. Musall, Fort Gordon, GA, Phalla C. Musall, Great Valley, NY; 5 daughters, Erica J. Musall, Great Valley, NY, Kim Li J. Musall, Falconer, NY, Cam H.J. Musall, Hailey J. Musall, and Daneth J. Musall, all of Great Valley, NY; 4 sisters, Debra Mina, Great Valley, NY, Carol (Dennis) Bingerman, Great Valley, NY, Marjorie (Michael) Halloran, Great Valley, NY, Donna (Adam) Rubenstein, Boca Raton, FL; 11 nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the First Baptist Church of Great Valley, Route 219, Great Valley, New York on Monday, August 15, 2011, from 2-4 and 6-9 P.M. and Tuesday morning from 10-11 A.M.

Funeral services will be held in the church on Tuesday morning at 11 A.M., with Pastor Wilber Barber officiating.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
