Kip T. Kettle
Mr. Kip T. Kettle, 49, of Salamanca, NY died early Saturday morning, January 5, 2019 at his home with his family following a long illness.
Born September 22, 1969 in Salamanca, NY, he was the son of the late Lenny and Suzanne Jones Kettle. He was married to the former Carmen Rose Jimerson, who predeceased him in 2015.
He was a member of the Onondaga Nation of Indians and the Heron Clan.
Mr. Kettle was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1987.
He had been employed in the security department at Lake Erie Tobacco Company for over five years, and had previously worked as a drywaller for several local contractors.
He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors, fishing for walleye, and hiking. He was an avid Philadelphia Eagles fan. Later in life, he enjoyed listening to Blues, especially Murray Porter and Johnny Long. He will be remembered for his breakdancing and DJ skills of his younger years.
Surviving are: two daughters, Cheryl (Michael Snyder) Graham, Cattaraugus Territory, Samantha (Paul) Saunders, Salamanca, NY; two sons, Austin (Jill) Kettle, Buffalo, NY, David (Patricia) Graham, KY; twelve grandchildren; two brothers, Todd (Leigh) Kettle, Salamanca, NY, Darryl (Kariann) Kettle, Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by two brothers, Mark Kettle and Lenny “Spud” Kettle.
Friends may call at the family home, 68 Kent Boulevard, Salamanca, NY beginning Monday afternoon and continuation all day Tuesday.
Funeral services will be held in the family home on Wednesday at 10 a.m.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, NY.
