Laurie A. Miller

Laurie A. Miller, 63, of Bucktooth Run, Little Valley, NY died early Monday morning, December 25, 2023 at home following a long illness.

Born July 1, 1960 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Norris and Angeline Telese Stone. She was married on August 8, 1998 at their home to Larry Miller, who survives.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1978, and earned her nursing degree from St. James Mercy Hospital, Hornell, NY.

Laurie had been employed with the Cattaraugus County Department of Mental Health for over 13 years, and CARES in Olean, NY for over 10 years, retiring in 2013. Previously, she had been employed at Baylor Hospital in Dallas, TX and the Bradford Regional Medical Center.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren, hosting family dinners, and watching all the wildlife around her home.

Surviving besides her husband are: a daughter, Alison (Kent Printup) Reitnauer, Salamanca, NY; a son, Justin (Jarah) Reitnauer, Olean, NY; two stepdaughters, Jennifer (Matthew) Donovan, Houston, TX, Angela (Todd Pyrkos) Nutt, Olean, NY; six grandchildren, Morgan Nutt, Merle Watt III, Kash Printup, Dylan Pyrkos, Layla Reitnauer, Brooke Pyrkos; two brothers, Ronald (Kathy) Stone, Clifton (Rose) Stone, both of Salamanca, NY; two nephews.

Memorial visitation will be held in the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Wednesday, January 3, 2024 from 4 – 6 p.m., at which time a memorial service will be held with Deacon Michael Anderson of Our Lady of Peace Parish officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
