Lindi Krantz Stark

Lindi Lee Krantz Stark, 58, of Salamanca, NY passed away unexpectedly Sunday, February 25, 2018 at Olean General Hospital.

She was the oldest daughter of Gary and Marjorie Mosher Krantz and the fiancé of Michael “Dutch” Trummer. They shared 11 years together.

Born in 1959 and raised in Salamanca, NY, she graduated from Salamanca High School in 1977.

She began her 32-year career at Allegany State Park and worked in several departments there. She retired in 2009. Lindi also bartended in Ellicottville throughout the 1980s.

Lindi enjoyed many outdoor activities, including gardening, boating, water skiing, skiing, ice skating, and horseback riding. She would also help community members and neighbors in need.

She will be remembered for her true and unconditional love and compassion for animals. She especially enjoyed working with the local animal rescue EARS, where she fostered, did fundraising, and transporting.

Surviving besides her parents and fiancé are: a son, Howard “HR” Stark, Glenwood, FL; stepson, Ryan Trummer, Salamanca, NY; a sister, Lori (Terry) Koniak, Salamanca, NY; a niece, Leigh Ann (Dan) Bialaszewski; three great nephews, Wyatt, Brycen, and Emmett Bialaszewski; as well as other aunts, uncles, and cousins. She will also be missed by her pups, Bandit, Remmi, Jett, and Ginger.

She was predeceased by a brother, Jay Tucker Krantz.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 3, 2018 in the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY at 11 a.m. with Rev. Michael Lonto, St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to EARS, PO Box 445, Salamanca, NY 14779.
