Lois Gilbert

Lois M. Gilbert, 82, of Salamanca, NY, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022 at Olean General Hospital following a short illness.

Born May 4, 1940 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Dorothy Golley.

She attended Franklinville High School.

Lois had substitute taught Art at St. Patrick’s Parochial School.

She enjoyed spending time with family, especially her grandchildren, doing crafts, and crocheting. She also enjoyed going on Facebook.

Surviving are: two daughters, Ann Ferella, Lancaster, NY, Tammy (Michael) Reynolds, Salamanca, NY; two sons, John (Lynne Quinn) Gilbert Mansfield, NY, Rod (Karen) Gilbert, East Stroudsburg, PA; six grandsons, Brandon Gilbert, Patton, PA, Matthew Gilbert, East Stroudsburg, PA, Travis Gilbert, Salamanca, NY, Hunter and Jordyn Stoltz, Salamanca, NY Torin Reynolds, Salamanca, NY; a granddaughter, Nicole Gilbert, Salamanca, NY; several great-grandchildren; a great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Green Gables Event Center, 4343 S Whalen Road, Great Valley, NY, on Saturday, December 3, 2022 from 1 - 5pm.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the American Cancer Society, PO Box 6704 Hagerstown, MD 21741.
