Lorraine Bennett

Lorraine M. Bennett, age 83, of Central Road, Steamburg, NY died at her home on Thursday, January 26, 2012.

Lorraine was born on April 25, 1929 in Gowanda, New York she was the daughter of the late Frederick and Ruby White Bennett.

She was employed as a caretaker/nanny.

Lorraine was a member of the Seneca Nation of Indians, the Deer Clan, the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535 and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post #5296.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Hugh Maybee, Steamburg, NY, Leslie McComber, Salamanca, NY; a daughter, Elaine McComber, Cattaraugus Territory, NY; numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren; a brother, Donald (Jackie) Bennett, Cattaraugus Territory, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Sandra Bennett, a sister, Pamela Torres, 3 brothers, Fred Bennett, Clarence Bennet, and Jerhle Bennett.

The will be no visitation.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
