Louise Redeye

Mrs. Louise Redeye, age 73, died Monday evening, February 15, 2010 at The Absolut of Salamanca, Salamanca, New York following a long illness.

Born on November 15, 1936 in Queens, New York she was the daughter of the late Frank and Anne Koreski Vitale. She was married on August 3, 1974 to Mr. Bradley Redeye who predeceased her on October 20, 1985.

She had been employed as a cook for the former Edlee Restaurant, Dach’s Red House Inn, the Red House Restaurant at the Administration Building, Salamanca District Hospital, and the Salamanca Central High School.

Mrs. Redeye enjoyed crocheting, Friday Night Poker Club, Bingo, preparing her Italian Cuisine and baking her holiday cookies and breads. She enjoyed spending time with her family.

Surviving are: 5 children, Sherry (Blanchard “Buddy” Jimerson III) Dowdy, Salamanca, New York, Herbert Dowdy Jr., Salamanca, New York, Lon (Cathy) Johnson, Salamanca, New York, Judyann Hurst, Long Island, New York, Mark Talley, Georgia; a step son, Brandon (Danielle Johnson) Redeye, Steamburg, New York; 19 grandchildren; 5 great grandchildren; a sister, Joann (Robert) Tingwall, Massapequa Park, New York; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a sister, Elaine Doane.

Friends may call at the home of her granddaughter, Desare Milks, 62 Swan Street, Salamanca, New York on Thursday and Friday.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 10:00 A.M. in the Jimersontown Presbyterian Church with William Ferguson Jr. officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, New York.
