Mabel B. Tisdale

Mabel B. Tisdale, 93, formerly of Kill Buck, New York, died Sunday morning, September 14, 2014 at the Absolut at Salamanca, Salamanca, New York.

Born May 20, 1921 in Fillmore, New York, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Sarah Moffett Butler. She was married on July 13, 1945 in Pike, New York to George Tisdale, who predeceased her on February 23, 2003.

She was a member of the Salamanca Bowling League. She enjoyed camping, gardening and spending time with her family.

Surviving are: a daughter, Ruby (Rick) Long, Portville, NY; a foster daughter, Josephine Green, Olean, NY; 25 grandchildren; 51 great-grandchildren; 20 great-great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by 2 sons, Frances Tisdale and Lloyd Kinnicutt, 2 daughters, Shirley Hala and Nancy Tisdale, 2 grandsons, David Schoch Jr. and Sean Kinnicutt Green, and 1 great-grandson, Nathanial McClure.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Thursday, September 18, 2014 from 12 – 2 p.m. and 5 – 7 p.m., at which time funeral and committal services will be held.

Burial will be in West Genesee Cemetery, Obi, New York at the convenience of the family.
