Margaret VonRhode, age 97 , of 151 Clinton Street, Salamanca, New York died Saturday, December 10, 2011 in her home following a long illness.
Born on November 5, 1914 in Vandalia, New York she was the daughter of the late Frank & Mary Fallanca Quattrone. She was married on June 16, 1951 in St. Patrick's Church, Salamanca, NY to Mr. Henry J. VonRhode who predeceased her December 15, 2010.
Mrs. VonRhode was employed as a Site Manager for Echo in Salamanca, New York prior to her retirement.
She was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish and a former member of the Altar & Rosary Society.
Surviving are: 2 daughters, Norene VonRhode, Marlene (Tim Haynoski) Pearson, both of Salamanca, New York; 2 grandchildren, Michael (Marcey) Pearson, Oklahoma, Holly Pearson, Tempe, Arizona; 3 great grandchildren; a sister, Sara Kyler, Salamanca, New York; a brother, Bruno (Pat) Quattrone, Salamanca, New York; several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by 2 sisters, Antoinette Clark, Nancy Rettig, 2 brothers, Peter Quattrone, and Anthony Quattrone.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Tuesday, December 13, 2011 from 10:30 to 11:30 AM at which time funeral services will be held with the Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor of Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating.
Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the donor's choice.
