Marian Pierce

Marian Pierce, age 74, of Killbuck, NY, died Friday (August 31, 2007) evening at Olean General Hospital following a long illness.

Born September 15, 1932 in Salamanca, NY she was the daughter of the late Frank and Irene Jimerson Pierce.

Miss Pierce was employed as a nurse in the maternity ward at the former St. Francis Hospital in Olean, NY.

She was an enrolled member of Onondaga Nation of Indians, the Beaver Clan, attended Immanuel Missionary Church, the Diabetes Support Group, the Blind Association Indian Holiness Association, where she had served as secretary and was a board member of Allegany Regional Development Corp, enjoyed cooking a baking.

She is survived by: a sister in law, Mrs. Muriel Pierce of Killbuck, New York, several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 2 brothers Nathaniel Pierce and Lyman Pierce.

Friends may call at the O'Roruke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. when funeral and committal services will be held with Pastor Brandon Crouse, of the Immanuel Missonary Church officiating.

Burial will be in Horseshoe Cemetery, Carrollton, New York.
