Marilyn Goodrich

Marilyn Goodrich, 89, of Summerville, SC formerly from Salamanca, NY, died Monday, March 4, 2024, following a short illness.

Born August 5, 1934, in Dubois, PA, she was the daughter of the late Adam and Emeline Reich. She was married on February 27, 1954, to Dean Goodrich, who survives. They recently celebrated their 70th wedding anniversary.

Marilyn was a graduate of Salamanca High School, class of 1952.She had been employed with the Salamanca Central School System for over 20 years and loved working with children.

Marilyn was a member of the St. Mary’s Episcopal Church. She loved her husband and family with all her heart and enjoyed spending time with them. She was kind, compassionate, loving, and generous. She will be deeply missed.

Surviving besides her husband are: a daughter, Terri (Robert) Pusateri, four grandchildren, Lindsi (Eric)Thompson, Kelli (Pete) Vento, Kristi (Steve) Loomis, Brad (Sarah) Polasik, great-grandchildren, Tyler, Brett, and Jordan Thompson; Ryan, Matthew and Andrew Loomis; Jackson and Luca Vento, Cody and Abby Polasik.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Cindy Polasik.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Wednesday, March 27, 2024, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Michael Lonto officiating.

Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
