Marilyn Loucks
Marilyn Rae Loucks, age 82, of the Town of Great Valley, NY died Saturday morning, March 24, 2012 at Absolut of Salamanca, NY.
Born March 30, 1930 in Salamanca, NY she was the daughter of the late Daniel Ruthanna Armstrong Sweet. She was married to Clayton John who predeceased her in February 1994. In April 1997, she married Calvin "Mason" Loucks who survives.
Mrs. Loucks was employed at the former Salamanca Trust Company in Salamanca, NY, Fitzpatrick & Weller, Ellicottville, NY and Dietrich Hardware.
Mrs. Loucks was an organist at the United Congregational Methodist Church in Salamanca for many years and was the Music Director at the United Methodist Church in Great Valley, NY. She was a member of the Euturpean Club and DAR. Music was always at the center of her life.
Surviving besides her husband are: 1 sister, Elizabeth M. (Robert) Hull., Silver Springs, NY; a stepson, Norman John of Minden, NV, and many nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by a brother; Russell Sweet, 2 sisters; Jeanette Krantz, Roberta Baker, a niece; Lorelei Rail and a nephew; Greg Krantz.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Wednesday from 10 AM to 1 PM at which time funeral services will held with Pastor John Green, of the Great Valley Methodist Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Wildwood Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
