Marjorie Zawatski

Marjorie Zawatski, age 78, of South Nine Mile Road, Allegany, New York, formerly of Mullins, S.C. died Saturday evening, June 30, 2012 at the Bradford Regional Medical Center, Bradford, New York.

Born on March 2, 1934 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Martin and Sophia Cheresko Zbink.

She was employed as the Executive Secretary to the Director of Allegany State Park for 30 years retiring in 1990.

Mrs. Zawatski was a member of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535 Ladies Auxiliary, WBIC.

Surviving are: 4 daughters, Linda Estes, Killbuck, New York, Andrea Arena, Killbuck, New York, Mrs. Tina (Dean) Rosenbury, Iron Station, N. C., Sandy Thiel, Lakewood, New York; 1 son, Mr. Andrew Zawatski, Allegany, New York; several grandchildren; several great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a daughter, Mrs. Vicki Welty, 2 grandsons, Bryan Estes, Colman Kosinski, and a sister, Marian Houghton.

Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 14, 2012 from 11 A.M. to 1 P.M. in the funeral home.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
