Mark Thomas O'Brien
Mark Thomas O'Brien, age 47, of Salamanca New York died Saturday afternoon, August 24, 2013, at Olean General Hospital following a short illness.
Born April 13, 1966 in Salamanca, New York, he is the son of Thomas and Margaret Mighells O'Brien.
He was a graduate of the Salamanca High School Class of 1984 and attended Jamestown Community College.
Mark worked in Jamestown as a business owner and hair stylist for over twenty five years. Most recently, he owned and operated a salon in Salamanca, Precision Cuts and Color.
Mark was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a gifted artist. Not only did the beauty of his creativity shine through the customers he worked with everyday, it also found its way to the many drawings, paintings, and projects he undertook during the years. Mark's compassion for his family and friends and his amazing sense of humor will be sadly missed and never forgotten.
Surviving besides his parents are: 2 brothers, Michael (Carol) O'Brien, Salamanca, NY, and Patrick (Ann) O'Brien, Salamanca, NY; 2 sisters, Kelli Wydner, Limestone, NY, an Molly (Leon Fuller) O'Brien, Limestone, NY; 4 nephews, 7 nieces, 6 great nephews, 4 great nieces, several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
