Mary Baker
Mrs. Mary Baker, 69, of New Albion, New York died Sunday, March 20, 2016 at the Marymount Hospital in Garfield Heights, Ohio.
Born September 17, 1946 in Salamanca, New York, she was the daughter of the late Reva Ray. She was married on April 5, 1963 to Mr. David Baker, who survives.
She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Bear Clan.
Mrs. Baker enjoyed reading, writing, traveling, playing Bingo, and making crafts.
Surviving besides her husband are: four daughters, Debbie Baker, Salamanca, NY, Donna (James) Ferguson, Salamanca, NY, Diana Baker, New Albion, NY, Teresa (Craig) Dechow, Napoli, NY; a son, Darryl Baker, New Albion, NY; 15 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Joyce Buchholz, Salamanca, NY, Gloria (Roland) Gordon-Garrow, Irving, NY; several nieces and nephews.
Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Wednesday, March 23, 2016 from 2 – 4 and 7 – 9 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Thursday at 11 a.m. with Pastor Stephen Amidon, who did pastoral work at the Andover Village Retirement in Ohio.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, New York.
