Mary Dolecki

Mary Dolecki, 88, of Salamanca, New York died Sunday, November 2, 2014 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, New York.

Born June 19, 1926 in Salamanca, New York, she was the daughter of the late Eugenio and Louise Poggoli Speroni. She was married on November 27, 1967 to Mr. Chester Dolecki, who predeceased her on July 9, 2003.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School and Jamestown Community College.

Mrs. Dolecki had been employed for several years with the Salamanca Hospital.

She was a long-time member of the former St. Patrick’s Church and Our Lady of Peace Parish. She enjoyed her family, reading history, and flower gardening.

Surviving are: a sister, Irene Speroni, Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by 2 brothers, Peter and George Speroni, 3 sisters, Fannie Stamato, Angelina Speroni, and Frances Evers, and a niece, Valerie Evers.

At Mary’s request, there will be no visitation.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held in Our Lady of Peace Parish on Saturday, November 8, 2014 at 10 a.m. with Rev. Patrick Melfi, pastor, as celebrant.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.
