Mazie Quattrone

Mazie Quattrone, 93, of Newton Street, Salamanca, NY died Thursday morning, August 30, 2018 at the Absolut Care of Allegany following a short illness.

Born June 30, 1925 in Houma, LA, she was the daughter of the late Wallace and Emily LeCompte Breaux. She was married January 26, 1953 to Peter R. Quattrone, who predeceased her on June 25, 2006.

She was a member of the former St. Patrick’s Church, Mr. & Mrs. Club, Our Lady of Peace Parish, the Altar and Rosary Society, the Home Bureau, and the Walsh Foundation.

She enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She also liked to crochet, collect coins, and watch game shows.

Surviving are: a son, Peter (Karen) Quattrone, Salamanca, NY; a daughter, Sylvia Quattrone, Rochester, NY; eight grandchildren, Andrea Quattrone, VA, Derek Quattrone, Stephen Quattrone, both of WV, Brendan O’Kane, Casey O’Kane, both of Rochester, NY, Robert Bly, Salamanca, NY, Timothy Bly, Port Richie, FL, Joshua Matthews, Salamanca, NY; six great-grandchildren, Chloe Moore, Angelina Moore, Scarlett Gray, all of VA, Alexander Bergan, Gabriella Bly, Violet Bly, all of Salamanca, NY.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Sylvia Breaux and Muriel Sudekum, and an infant brother, Wallace Breaux Jr.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Saturday, September 1, 2018 from 10 a.m. – 12 p.m., at which time funeral services will be held with Deacon Michael Anderson, Our Lady of Peace Parish, officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
