Melissa Bach
Melissa Bach, 56, of Salamanca, NY, died early Monday morning, July 19, 2021, at the Erie County Medical Center, Buffalo, NY following a long illness.
Born July 23, 1964 in Salamanca, NY, she was the daughter of the late Charla Jimerson Bach.
She was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Deer Clan.
She had been employed with the Seneca Nation of Indians for over 10 years and had served as director of THPO with the Seneca Nation.
She enjoyed spending time with her family and her dogs. She also enjoyed traveling within the area, visiting the Amish, and making ice cream dates. She was an avid Bingo player and collected tie dye clothing.
Surviving are: her daughters, Leigh (Les McComber) White, Lynsey (Louis St. Germaine) White, both of Jimersontown, NY; two sisters, Glenda (Jeff Welch) Taylor, Jimersontown, NY, Melinda Clark, Little Valley, NY; eleven grandchildren; several nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Friends may call at the family home, 8367 Jimmerson Road, Little Valley, NY, beginning Tuesday evening July 20, 2021, and continuing all day Wednesday.
Funeral services will be held in the family home on Thursday at 10am with members of the Coldspring Longhouse officiating.
Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, NY.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to ECMC Kidney & Pancreas Renal Care Foundation, 462 Grider St, Buffalo, NY 14215, or the Olean General Hospital’s Dialysis Center, 515 Main Street, Olean, NY 14760.
