Michael "noodles" "beav" Newark
Michael "Noodles" "Beav" Newark, age 56 of Salamanca died early Saturday morning (January 11, 2014) shortly after being admitted to the Olean General Hospital.
Born August 30, 1957 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Hubert and Barbara Ambuske Newark.
Mr. Newark was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp serving from 1976-1980.
He was employed Salamanca Lumber as a wood grader.
Mr. Newark was an avid Buffalo Sabers and Buffalo Bills fan and was a devoted uncle to his nieces and nephews. His sense of humor will be missed.
He is survived by and five sisters, Julie (Earl) Lafferty, Salamanca, NY, Noreen (Emmit)Huffman, Wiersdale, FL, Christine (William) Jacoby, Great Valley, NY, Tami (Randy) Roberts, Lockport, NY and Toni Newark, Salamanca, NY, one brother, Clarence (Marjory) Newark, Salamanca, NY, several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a brother Pete Newark and a sister Debra McClure and a niece Jennifer Manning.
Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11:00 AM with the Rev Patrick Melfi, pastor of Our Lady of Peace officiating.
Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, NY
Full Military Honors will be conducted by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post # 535 and the Veterans of Foreign Wars John Ahrens Post # 5296
