Michael E. Showers Sr.

Michael E. Showers Sr., 63 of Salamanca, NY died unexpectedly early Saturday morning, October 5, 2024 at home.

Born September 1, 1961 in Olean, NY, he was the son of the late Shirley Showers.

He was attended Ellicottville High School.

Michael was a fun, challenging man. He enjoyed spending time with his children, fishing, golf, and football. He loved to make people laugh.

Surviving are: a daughter, Jenna Kaltenbach, Steamburg, NY; three sons, Jansen John, OH, Jonathan Showers, Michael Showers Jr., both of Salamanca, NY; his ex-wife, Becky Mohr, Salamanca, NY; six grandchildren, Anya Showers, Warren, PA, Nathan Southworth Jr., Anthony Schmidt, both of Erie, PA, Iris Kaltenbach, Brandi Kaltenbach, and Emmett Kaltenbach, all of Steamburg, NY.

He was predeceased by a daughter, Jamie Kettle, and a son, Justin Sunderlin.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the Free Methodist Church, 387 Center Street, Salamanca, NY 14779 on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 12 - 2pm.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to a charity of the donor’s choice.
