Michael J. Warrior

Michael J. Warrior, 52, of Salamanca, NY died Wednesday morning, May 10, 2023 at Buffalo General Hospital following a short illness.

Born January 28, 1971 in Gowanda, NY he was the son of Lynette George of Salamanca.

Mike was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Hawk Clan.

He was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1989 where he participated in football and wrestling and attended Paul Smith’s College.

Mike had been employed as a union iron worker for over 20 years and had also been a logger.

He was a member of the Iron Workers Local 6. He enjoyed being with his family, the outdoors, hunting, fishing, playing lacrosse and was learning how to make lacrosse sticks. He also enjoyed art, especially drawing. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Surviving besides his mother are: three daughters, Nora Warrior, Olean, NY, Marla Warrior, Durango, CO, Azayla Warrior, Salamanca, NY; a sister, Amee Crowley, Great Valley, NY; a brother, Spencer George, Salamanca, NY; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his father, Norbert Warrior.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Monday, May 15, 2023 from 2 – 8 p.m.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Tuesday at 10 a.m., with speakers of the Coldspring Longhouse officiating.

Burial will be in Memorial Heights Cemetery, Jimersontown, NY.
