Mildred "Millie" Nugent

Mrs. Millie Nugent, age 88, of 202 Highlland Avenue, Salamanca, New York died Thursday evening, September 27, 2007 at Absolut Care in East Aurora, New York following a long illness.

Born on Janurary 17, 1919 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Bess Harkness Bozard. She was married on March 25, 1940 to Mr. Edward Nugent who predeceased her on October 4, 2001.

Mrs. Nugent was employed as a Social Worker with Cattataugus County for over 20 years.

She was a member of St. Patrick's and AARP.

Millie and her husband, Eddie, were avid sports' fans following all sports and were honored as "Super Fans" by the Salamanca All Sports Booster Club.

Surviving are: 2 sons, Mr. Michael "Mick" (Pat) Nugent, Springville, New York, Mr. Thomas Nugent, Brockport, New York, daughter-in-law, Laurie Nugent, Salamanca, New York; 8 grandchildren; 11 greatgrandchildren; several nieces and nephews.

She was predecesed by a son, Robert Nugent, a sister, Evelyn Gardner and 2 brothers, Paul Bozard and Donald Bozard.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Sunday form 11:00 A.M. to 1:00 P.M. at which time funeral services will be held in the fuenral home with Rev. Piotr Zaczynski, pastor of Holy Cross/ St. Patrick's Church officiating.

Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.

The family gratefully declines flowers. They suggest memorials to the Salamanca Youth Activities or the Alzheimer's of Western New York.
