Moxie Kryniski
Mr. Moxie Kryniski, age 90, formerly of Star Route, Killbuck and of Collins Center, New York died Thursday morning, June 17, 2010 at the Lake Shore Hospital, Irving, New York.
Born on December 20, 1919 in Salamanca, New York he was the son of the late Teodor “Fred” & Mary Kryniski. He was married to the former Lorena Wilcox who survives. He was predeceased by his first wife, Elsie Kryniski in 1968.
Mr. Kryniski was employed for over 35 years as a Carpenter Foreman for the B & O Railroad in Salamanca, New York, retiring in 1980.
He was a member of US Army, serving during WWII and receiving the American Defense Service Medal.
Mr. Kryniski was a member of the United Congregational Methodist Church, Oddfellows, and Square Circle Club of Killbuck, NY.
Surviving besides his wife are: a son, David (Donna) Kryniski, Germany; a step son, James (Barbara) Baker, Collins Center, New York; a step-daughter, Brenda (Jack) Willibey, Springville, NY; 1 sister, Mary Janowicz, Great Valley, NY, 7 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 3 sisters, Katherine Matthews, Anna Kryniski, Tillie Prebynski; 2 brothers, James Kryniski and Joseph Kryniski.
Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Sunday, June 20, from 4-7 p.m.
Funeral services will be held in the funeral home Monday at 10 a.m. with Rev. Michael Lonto, pastor of St. Mary's Episcopal Church officiating.
A military service will be performed by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535.
Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.
