Myron Chapman

Myron Chapman, age 89, 5 Fancher Avenue, Salamanca, New York died Wednesday, December 17, 2008 at the Absolut of Salamanca, New York.

Born on February 24, 1919 in Calumet, MI he was the son of the late Edward and Grace Carlson Chapman. He was married to the former Carmelina Pellegrino who survives.

Mr. Chapman was a mechanic for Eastern Airlines in Miami, Fla.

Surviving are: 3 daughters, Mary (Jon) Young, Elljay, Georgia, Gina (James) Valent, Salamanca, New York, Carmen Fraser, Montclair, VA; 10 grandchildren; 6 great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Betty Hosking, Iron Mountain, MI., Doris (Herbie) Knudson, Kingsford, MI; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a sister, Marjorie Uren.

Mr. Chapman enjoyed traveling, square dancing, and loved the ocean, surf fishing and deep sea fishing.

There will be no visitation.

A memorial service will be held in the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Saturday morning at 11:00 A.M. with Pastor Don Acker of the House of Prayer officiating.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.

The family suggests memorials to the Home Care & Hospice, 1225 West State Street, Olean, New York or The National Parkinson's Foundation, 1501 N.W. 9th Avenue, Bob Hope Road, Miami, Fla. 33136-1494.
