Mr. Myron Charles Bova "Bull Moose", 81, of South Loop, Steamburg, New York, entered into eternity Saturday evening (March 15, 2008) at the WCA Hospital, Jamestown, New York following a lengthy illness.

Born June 27, 1926 in Lakewood, New York he was the son of the late Anson Bova, Pearl Braley Bova Wright and Orrin Wright. He was married to the former Ruth Jimerson who survives.

Mr. Bova was a veteran of the United States Army serving in the Pacific Theater during World War II. He was awarded the Asiatic-Pacific Theater Ribbon and the Good Conduct Medal.

He was employed in the construction industry with Local 612, Olean, New York. Previously, he worked as a bartender at Swensons in Frewsburg, NY, and the Coldspring Firehall, security at Highbanks Campground, Adnalock, Jamestown, NY and was a Constable in South Valley, NY.

Mr. Bova was a member of the New Apostolic Church, Jamestown, NY, a past commander of the VFW Post 8155, Frewsburg, NY, Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post # 5296, American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post # 535, Holy Cross Athletic Club, Loyal Order of the Moose Lodge # 1002, all of Salamanca, NY and the Coldspring Firehall. He was a good athlete playing football, basketball, and baseball. He enjoyed hunting, trapping, reading, watching football, his family and spending time at the family camp.

Surviving besides his wife are one son David (Dorene) Bova, five daughters Judy (Ron) Jimerson, Patricia (Arlet) John, Cynthia Jemison, Charlene (Wilbur) John, all of Steamburg, New York, Sharon (Jerry) Atwood, Salamanca, NY; thirteen grandchildren, four step-grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.

Mr. Bova was predeceased by a son Clinton Charles Bova, four brothers Lynest Bova, Anson Bova, James Bova, two sisters Gladys Fiebkorn, and Joyce Bova.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Tuesday from 2-4 & 7-9 PM and Wednesday from 2-4 & 7-8 PM when funeral and committal services will be held with the Rev. Michael Komula, pastor of the New Apostolic Church, Jamestown, New York officiating.

Burial will be in Steamburg Cemetery, Steamburg, New York

Full military honors will be performed by members of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post # 535 and Veterans of Foreign Wars John F. Ahrens Post # 5296,
