Nancy Caruso

Nancy Caruso, age 85, of Underwood Manor, Hinsdale, New York, formerly of Salamanca New York died on Sunday January 6, 2008 at Strong Memorial Hospital, Rochester, New York.

Born on December 6, 1922 in Salamanca, New York she was the daughter of the late Joseph & Catherine Quattrone Caruso.

She was a graduate of Salamanca High School Class of 1940.

Miss Caruso was employed as a Account Clerk at the former Salamanca Hospital prior to her retirement.

She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Salamanca, New York.

Surviving are: 4 brothers, Mr. Vincent (Evelyn) Caruso, Victor, New York, Mr. Joseph (Rosemarie) Caruso, Naples, Fla., Mr. John (Alice) Caruso, Salamanca, New York, Mr. Daniel (Nancy) Caruso, Governeur, New York; several nieces and nephews.

Friends may call at the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Wednesday from 5-7 P.M.

A prayer service will be held in the funeral home on Thursday morning at 9:30 A.M. Followed by a Mass of Christian Burial in Our Lady of Peace (St. Patrick's Church) at 10:00 A.M. with Rev. Robert Farris, OFM, St. Bonaventure, New York as celebrant.

Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, New York.

In Lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials to St. Patrick's Church.
