Naomi Bargy

Mrs. Naomi Bargy, 81, of Salamanca, NY died Wednesday, June 30, 2021 at UPMC Chautauqua, Jamestown, NY following a long illness.

Born October 2, 1939 in Perrysburg, NY, she was the daughter of the late Max and Mertie Hebner Gross. She was married on December 26, 1959 in Little Valley, NY to Raymond Bargy, who predeceased her on September 5, 2017.

Naomi was a graduate of Cattaraugus High School, Class of 1957.

She babysat out of her home for over 50 years and enjoyed crocheting, flowers, baking, and playing cards, especially Canasta.

Surviving are: a daughter, Nan Bargy; a son, William (Laura Friday) Bargy, both of Frewsburg, NY; two grandsons, Noah Bargy, Omaha, NE, Trá Bargy, Bradford, PA; a sister, Joan Gross, Little Valley, NY; several nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Charles Gross Sr., Douglas Gross, and a sister, Louise Gross.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Monday, July 12, 2021 from 10am – 12pm at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Dennis Stack of the Ischua United Methodist Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials be sent to ¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬¬Ischua United Methodist Church.
