Patrick L. John

On Wednesday, October 4, 2023 Patrick L. John, 53, of Salamanca, NY went to be home with the Lord. He passed at UPMC Chautauqua surrounded by his loving family following a short illness.

Born October 10, 1969 in Salamanca, NY, he was the son of the late Ramona Redeye John.

He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and of the Hawk Clan.

Patrick had been employed with the Seneca Nation DPW and Seneca Nation Bingo.

He will be remembered by the love he had for the outdoors; hunting, fishing, and especially fly fishing. He was a carpenter and enjoyed working with his hands. He also enjoyed wrestling and boxing and was an avid Chicago Bears fan.

Surviving are: four sisters, Dorsie John-Blue Sky, Esther (Steve) Maybee, Phyllis Royer, Nancy (Ed) Printup, all of Salamanca, NY; two brothers, Jason (Lisa) John, Mortimer (Kara) John, both of Steamburg, NY; he was a cherished uncle of several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by two brothers, Cleo John, Michael John, and a sister, Winifred John.

He will be sadly missed and will always hold a place in our hearts.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Saturday, October 7, 2023 from 2 – 4 & 7 – 9pm and Sunday 2 – 4 & 7 – 9pm as well.

Funeral services will be held in the funeral home on Monday at 11am with Mike Crouse of Immanuel Missionary Alliance, officiating.
