Paul M. Harvey

Paul M. Harvey, 82, of Salamanca, NY died Tuesday evening, February 7, 2023 at Buffalo General Hospital following a long illness.

Born May 23, 1940 in Salamanca, NY, he was the son of the late Paul W. Harvey and Georgia Theresa Presco. He was married September 14, 1963 in Jasper, NY to the former Marilyn J. Drake, who predeceased him in 2019.

With the exception of his four years in the US Navy, Paul lived his whole life very proudly as a part of the Salamanca community. He often boasted about the beauty of the region enjoying hunting, fishing, boat building, and camping particularly in Allegany State Park. His delight in his impeccably groomed lawn and perfectly lit Christmas decorations was matched only by his enthusiasm for Johnny Cash and a good hearty meal that usually involved onions and garlic. He was a buddy to many and quick to give his share of awkward compliments and dance moves.

Surviving are: three daughters, Michele Harvey Heusinger, Salamanca, NY, Barbara Harvey, Singapore, Tammy Harvey; a granddaughter, Anya Harvey, Singapore; a grandson, Micah Harvey, Singapore.

There will be no visitation.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
