Phillip Goodwill, Jr.

Phillip T. Goodwill, Jr., age 61, of Salamanca, New York died Tuesday, July 15, 2014 at his home, following a long illness.

Born June 16, 1953, in Salamanca, New York, he was the son of the late Phillip Sr. and Irene Hinman Goodwill. He was married July 9, 2011 to the former Carrie McDonald who had been his companion for over 15 years.

He had been employed for 33 years with the Norfolk Southern Railroad retiring as a foreman in 2007.

Mr. Goodwill enjoyed spending time with his family and “tinkering” in his garage. He was an avid Buffalo Bills fan and also enjoyed NASCAR.

Surviving besides his wife are: 3 daughters, Dawn, Crystal, and Nellie; 4 sons, Phillip, Tommy, Phillip “Tucker”, and Andrew; 9 stepchildren, David, Tammy, Roberta, Robert, Kathy, Billy, Timmy, John, and James; 6 sisters, Sharon, Candy, Cindy, Darlene, Jane, and Phyllis; 2 brothers, Timothy and Earl “Butch”; several nieces, nephews, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren.

He was predeceased by a brother, Robert Maine and a sister, Connie Sherlock.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York on Friday, July 18, 2014 from 11- 1 p.m. at which time funeral services will be held with Rev. Michael Lonto of St. Mary’s Episcopal Church, officiating.

Burial will be in Green Cemetery, Great Valley, New York.
