Phyllis M. Minneci

Phyllis M. Minneci, 85, beloved sister, aunt and great-aunt, of Salamanca NY, passed away Thursday, June 22, 2023 at A. Cedar Park Personal Care Home, Cedar Park, TX following a short illness.

Born October 5, 1937 in Salamanca, NY she was the daughter of the late Philip and Stella Arributo Minneci.

Phyllis was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1955, and earned her Associate’s Degree from Jamestown Community College.

Early in her career, Phyllis had been employed by Fancher Furniture. She then took a position with Weast Insurance Agency, which then became Ned Fenton Insurance, Salamanca, NY where she finished her career.

She was a former member of the Congregational Methodist Church, where she taught Sunday School. Phyllis had many passions in life. She loved to raise cats, watch sports and travel, making several trips to Maryland to visit her niece. She also loved to garden and was a member of the Salamanca Garden Club.

Surviving are: a sister, Toni Senear, Salamanca; a niece, Mary Jane (Michael) Mccormack, Georgetown TX; a nephew, Patrick (Fran Owens) Senear, Salamanca NY; a great-nephew, Matthew (Abby) McCormack of Austin TX.

Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 from 6 – 8pm.

A private burial will be held at Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
