Raymond Kenneson
Mr. Raymond Kenneson, age 89, of Windfall Road, Killbuck, New York died Thursday morning, April 14, 2011 at The Absolut of Salamanca following a brief illness.
Born on February 11, 1922 in Bradford, PA he was the son of the late Mr. & Mrs. Kenneson. He was married to the former Audrey Weber who survives.
Mr. Kenneson was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving in France and Germany during WWII. He was awarded the European Theatre Ribbon, WWII Victory Medal, and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was employed by the Salamanca Dept. of Public Works retiring in 1985. Previously, he had been employed at Work & Silvis in Allegany, New York and Felmont Oil Company in Allegany, New York.
Mr. Kenneson was a former member of the American Legion Hughes-Skiba Post #535. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and the outdoors.
Surviving besides his wife are: 2 daughters, Donna (Donald) Bass, Pikesville, N.C., Debbie Kenneson, Olean, New York; 3 sons, Gregory (Paula) Kenneson, Killbuck, New York, Ray "Chip" (Melinda) Kenneson, Killbuck, New York, Steven Kenneson, Salamanca, New York; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; 2 sisters, Marge Stokes, Luella Price, both of Bradford, PA; a brother, Jack Kenneson, Bradford, PA; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 2 brothers, Paul Kenneson, Merle Kenneson, and a sister, Mildred Yonker.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, New York.
