Richard "Rick" B. Cullinan
Gone far too soon, Rick is survived by his beloved wife Heather, children Caroline, Patrick, Aubrey, and Coleman, sisters Maureen Pelham, Joyce Dailey, and brothers Craig and James Cullinan. He is preceded in death by his son Richard, mother Margaret, and father Dr. Richard B. Cullinan.
Rick was larger than life. His energetic personality filled any room he entered and brought joy and laughter to friends and strangers alike. He found solace and purpose in the outdoors and peace at home in front of a fire. Above all else, Rick treasured the time he spent with his family.
Rick was an exceptionally hard worker, epitomizing what it meant to be a "workin' man," as he so often called himself. His keen business sense and entrepreneurial spirit drove his successful career in the rail and chemical industries, where he headed, acquired, and founded multiple businesses.
Despite his success, Rick was humble, preferring to spend his time chopping wood for nightly fires, hiking with his dogs, and gathering for dinner at home with his family.
Rick's memory will endure within his family and in his community in no small part thanks to his boundless generosity. Giving frequently and quietly, Rick honored his Catholic faith and supported the people around him with selflessness and humility.
A funeral mass will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, January 31st at St. Mary of the Assumption Church in Glenshaw, Pennsylvania. A reception will follow at the Fox Chapel Golf Club from 11:30 AM to 2:30 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Richard Brian Cullinan, Jr. Memorial Foundation.
