Richard Harrison

Mr. Richard Harrison, 59, of Jamestown, NY died Thursday, November 9, 2017 at his home following a short illness.

Born April 4, 1958 in Jamestown, NY, he was the son of the late R.B. Harrison Sr. and Hazel Jimerson. He was married in 1977 to Amy Redeye, who predeceased him in 2015.

He was an enrolled member of the Seneca Nation of Indians and the Turtle Clan.

Mr. Harrison had been employed with Crawford Furniture of Jamestown for over 18 years.

He enjoyed spending time with his family, the outdoors and fishing, and was an avid Buffalo Bills fan.

Surviving are: a daughter, Cassie (Larry) Ballard, Jamestown, NY; a son, Lindsey (Tonya Rishell) Harrison, Celeron, NY; four grandchildren, Sierra Rishell, Celeron, NY, Jacob Harrison, Celeron, NY, Erika Ballard, Jamestown, NY, Michael Ballard, Jamestown, NY; three brothers, R.B. (Darlene Smallish) Harrison Jr., Dough (Michelle) Harrison, William Harrison; three sisters, Diane (LeRoy) Seekings, Nona (Chuck) Meachum, Danielle (Roy) Davis, all of Jamestown, NY; several nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by a grandchild, Baby Ballard.

Friends may call at the family home, 212 ½ Lakeview Avenue, Jamestown, NY beginning Saturday afternoon and continuing all day Sunday.

Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11 a.m. in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY with members of the Cold Spring Longhouse officiating.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY.
