Richard Hook
Mr. Richard Hook, age 69, of Hardscrabble Road, Killbuck, NY died unexpectedly Monday evening, December 19, 2011 at Olean General Hospital, Olean, NY.
Born on March 9, 1942 in New York City, NY, he was the son of the late Fred & Julia Larkins Hook. He was married on September 23, 1961 to the former Helen O'Connell who survives.
Mr. Hook was employed in Maintenance at Equity Residential Apartments in Ft. Lauderdale, FL prior to his retirement.
He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish in Salamanca, NY, where he served as an usher and a former member of St. Henry's Roman Catholic Church in Pampano Beach, FL.
Surviving besides his wife are: a daughter, Deborah Steckler; a grandson, Jesse Steckler, both of Coralsprings, FL; 3 sisters, Jean Quattrone, Joanne Walsh, both of Salamanca, NY, Rita Fox, Killbuck, NY; 2 brothers, Fred (Kathleen) Hook, Killbuck, NY, Joseph Hook, Olean, NY; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by 3 brothers, Robert Hook, Edward Hook, Francis Hook, and a sister, Blanche Hook.
There will be no visitation.
A memorial mass will be held on Wednesday, December 28th, at 11am in Our Lady of Peach Parish, Salamanca, NY.
Entombment will be in Calvary Cemetery, Salamanca, NY.
