Richard Locicero
Mr. Richard M. Locicero, age 62, of Penn Avenue, Salamanca, NY died suddenly early Friday morning, December 23, 2011.
Born June 13, 1949 in Auburn, NY, he was the son of the late Richard and Allie Bargy Locicero.
Mr. Locicero was a graduate of Salamanca High School, Class of 1967. He was a veteran of the United States Army, with the 84th Engineer's Batallion, serving in Vietnam.
He was married September 18, 1993 at Stone Tower in Allegany State Park to the former Margaret Mona, who survives.
He was employed as a machinist at Alcoa in Randolph, NY for over nine years, with the former Stride Tool as a plant manager, and with the former Richard's Collision in Salamanca, NY.
Above all, he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and enjoyed watching them in their sports and activities. He was also an avid reader.
Surviving besides his wife are 3 daughters: Melanie Pritchard, Ellicottville, NY, Jennifer Locicero, Palmer, MA, and Allie Locicero, Palmer, MA; a stepson: Jesse (Patricia) Blakesslee, Salamanca, NY; 3 sisters: Jill (Dennis) Jimerson, Salamanca, NY, Joan (Jeff) Sherwood, Salamanca, NY, and Judy Locicero, Salamanca, NY; 2 brothers: Thomas Locicero, Dayton, NY, and John (Joyce) Locicero, West Valley, NY; 7 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by one stepson, Adam Blakesslee.
There will be no visitation.
Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the O'Rourke & O'Rourke Inc Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY. Services will be held at the convenience of the family.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorials to the Salamanca Public Library's Memorial Fund or Salamanca Youth Sports.
