Rob E. Bucktooth
Rob E. Bucktooth, 61, of Salamanca, NY, died Monday, September 9, 2024 at home surrounded by his family.
Born June 9, 1963 in Syracuse, NY, he was the son of the late Robert and Donna Johnson Bucktooth.
He was an enrolled member of the Onondaga Nation of Indians and of the Snipe Clan. He was also a descendant of Chief Cornplanter.
Rob was a graduate of Lafayette High School, Class of 1981.
He had been employed in the payroll department of the Turning Stone Casino, Syracuse, NY and had previously been employed with the Seneca Niagara Casino, Niagara Falls, NY, as well as the Akwesasne Mohawk Casino Resort, Hogansburg, NY.
Rob enjoyed the outdoors and fishing.
Surviving are: four sisters, Roberta (Dave) Rockwell, Onondaga Nation, Robin Wanatee, Martha (Merle) Jimerson, both of Salamanca, NY, Ruthann (Marc) French, Jimersontown, NY; three brothers, Bruce Bucktooth, Moravia, NY, Robert (Cherly) Bucktooth, OK, Jarvis Bucktooth, Onondaga Nation; an aunt, Karen Bucktooth, Cattaraugus Nation; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by a sister, Wealthy Bucktooth.
Friends may call at the O’Rourke & O’Rourke Inc. Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca, NY on Thursday, September 26, 2024 from 10am – 1:30pm at which time funeral services will be held.
Burial will be in Hillside Haven Cemetery, Steamburg, NY.
